Having a henna tattoo at home is fun, but it can be really messy unless you take the proper preparations ahead.
1. Prepare the place in which you will have the henna tattoo.
The place must be rug free and covered by newspapers or old fabric to avoid staining the floor, especially if you are having a black henna tattoo. The place should be comfortable because you are going to sit there for quite a long time.
2. Have a bowl of water and some old fabric or tissues to wipe unwanted stains of henna. Notice that the black henna stains fast so when there is a mistake, wipe it a.s.a.p.
3. Prepare the henna tattoo kit; the henna cone, the henna stencils, or the henna tattoo book or catalog.
4. Go to the bathroom.
5. Have someone to get the door for you if you are going to have henna at the bottom of your feet.
